What Causes Vomiting And Chest Pressure After Alcohol Consumption?
Gastritis...
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting the query
The symptoms described by you could be related to acid reflux following consumption of alcohol
In the first instance, vomiting happened because of gastritis. Vomiting is a reflux initiated by spasm of abdominal and chest muscles. That's the reason for chest discomfort you developed on the following day.
Persistence of acid reflux can also worsen the present problems.
Do not worry! It's not a major problem. my suggestions to you are:
1. Drink plenty of warm water
2. Avoid coffee, tea, fizzy drinks and smoking for few days
3. Try taking OTC antacids
If the symptoms do not subside with the above measures, please consult your doctor for a complete evaluation and management.
Hope this answers your query; I'll be available for the follow up queries.

Intercostal muscle spasm...
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing back
The discomfort in the chest is due to spasm of the intercostal muscles following vomiting. Do not worry! This is not something serious.
Try taking muscle relaxants such as Tizanidine or Chlorzoxazone, you will feel better.
Hope this clarifies your doubts.
