Brief Answer:
Could be abdominal pressure or acidity in stomach

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Increased abdominal pressure due to straining of abdominal and pelvic muscles could lead to regurgitation (secondary to abdominal muscles pressure on stomach). This could cause vomiting.
2. If no straining during bowel movement, possible acidity leading onto gastric irritation could be the cause.
3. If multiple times, then gastrointestinal infection needs to be thought of.

Pantoprazole with domperidone will help in reduction of acidity and vomiting. More details necessary for further opinion.

Hope it helps.

Brief Answer:
Reflux esophagitis leads to Barretts esophagus.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.

Barretts esophagus is due to acid regurgitation from stomach and change in the type of lining epithelium in lower end of esophagus (from squamous to columnar). This is completely reversible, once gastric acidity and regurgitation comes into control.
Regurgitation is usually due to weak lower esophageal sphincter.
Proton pump inhibitors like pantoprazole along with domperidone will help in reducing acidity and regurgitation. Need to take for upto 6 weeks.

Good to know, colonoscopy is good. Do follow up regarding Barretts esophagus with endoscopy after 6 months to 1 years, as advised by your doctor..

Hope it helps.
