What Causes Vomiting, Nausea And Chills?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: hi, my husband has been puking since last night. he gets very warm, pukes, and then has chills. there really isn't anything left to puke... looks like mucus now. I'm worried because he doesn't seem to be able to keep any water down.
Brief Answer:
GIve him benadryl!
Detailed Answer:
HI,
Am so sorry to hear about what your husband is experiencing. I will suggest that we give a medication to stop the nausea and vomiting (puking). I will recommend that you administer 50mg of benadryl now and then 25mg every 8hours thereafter. This will help stop the vomiting and permit him to keep something down. If this fails and he's still unable to keep anything down, I will suggest that you take him to the ER so that he can benefit from some fluids.
Keep me updated on his progress and feel free to ask for more information and guidance if need be.
