Brief Answer:
if your doctor prescribed zofran,i would prefer not to change antibiotic

Detailed Answer:
Hello Busterbechtel
i am dr XXXXXXX and i would love to clear your doubts. i am sure you must be told by your doctor that bactrim and keflex are antibiotics and zofran contains ondansetron which is prescribed to control your vomiting .
Actually certain antibiotics causes gastritis ( acidity ) so it is obvious that bactrim must have caused it in your case too and thats the reason your doctor shifted you to keflex . But changing antibiotics frequently spreads resistance and is not advisable .
Moreover there is no surity that changing antibiotic will not lead to acidity and vomiting , as i explained earlier that majority of antibiotics has this side effect to some or the other extent and thats why many doctors also prefer to prescribe some antacids along with antibiotics to prevent this side effect which your doctor has eventually done after 3 days by adding zofran .
In my opinion once zofran was started there was no need to change the antibiotic as it would have taken care of vomiting caused by bactrim .
So kindly discuss it with your doctor because in my opinion you should continue with the same antibiotic ( bactrim ) as zofran has been added to your prescription to relieve you from vomiting .
I hope i have answered your query to your satisfaction but please feel free to ask me if you have any more doubts
regards
Dr XXXXXXX
