Brief Answer:
Paracetamol should help in providing relief.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone through your query and understand your concerns. I would insist you to take paracetamol for the band like headache. I hope that it would provide relief. If not, you would need to visit your doctor and get further testing done. The initial test would be for a malaria dual antigen. If your doctor suggests, a CT scan of brain may also be done but I doubt if that would be necessary.
Let me know if I could help further.
Regards

Brief Answer:
Treatment depends upon the underlying cause.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.
You need to understand that there can be a number of possible causes for your headache. The cause needs to be investigated and identified. How long it would be there depends on the underlying cause as well as the steps taken to deal with the same. For that you need to visit a doctor and get yourself evaluated. Stress could be a contributory factor. In that case anxiolytics like alprazolam (prescription medicine) could provide relief. You need to take paracetamol to control headache once you get it.

Brief Answer:
Paracetamol or naproxen need to be taken when needed
Detailed Answer:
Thanks once again for writing back.
I did some research and found that headache after typhoid is often encountered by patients. I did not find anything definite about the possible cause or its resolution. All I can suggest is to take paracetamol or naproxen for reduction of the headache. Rather than waiting, I would suggest taking one of these medicines a few minutes after the pain starts. The medicine should be preferably taken in full stomach. Try it and I think the episodes should gradually subside.
