Question: hello..please would love you to go through my previous questions...I have a problem, I am still testing positive after the d and e and I haven't seen my period. I am scared and I don't know what to do. I fmwas very okay until Saturday, I started feeling weak, soo much pain on my lower abdomen affectng my joints nd back, and pain in my XXXXXXX with whitish stuffs coming out..Please what do I need to do

Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Please relax.
After a D and E, you would test positive with the home pregnancy kit for upto 4 - 6 weeks.
Just ignore that.
What is important is to have a follow up visit with your gynecologist, and to confirm that the D and E was complete.
This is best done by a clinical exam and a repeat ultrasound scan.
When was the D and E done exactly ?
Mild aches and pains are normal for a few days after a D and E.
So dont worry.
Whitish discharge is also normal, so dont worry.
You can take painkillers for the pain for upto a week after the procedure.
Also, you can take a hot water bottle and apply it to the affected area.
Please take good iron and multivitamin supplements to regain strength.
Take lots of rest and meditate / relax a lot.

Yes, the home urine test would take longer to show a negative.
Nor should you rely on it.
You should be having a follow up visit now to confirm that everything is okay, and it should be, or you would be bleeding significantly.

OK. after the d and e I bled two days after for like 5days was soo painful..then I was very fine everything went back to normal and now since Saturday, strated feeling week, sharp pain in d nipples, lower abdomen pains affecting my back and joints, whitish stuffs, sharp pain in the XXXXXXX when I bled, I passed products but wasnt much and it stopped

Short of having a repeat scan, there is no way to ensure that the abortion is complete.
SUch symptoms are generally not common, but you should relax.
It might be an occasional event.

I did a home p test yesterday night, it shows negative, did it first thing this morning, same thing negative. I will get a scan done 2day or Monday. I will repeat the home test tomorrow morning, aswell. Please what kind of scan should I get done? a pelvic scan?

So you have nothing to worry.
Why would you say that you keep testing positive after the D and E ?
The test is negative, so nothing to worry.
Dont repeat any more home tests.
Just get a scan done.
It has to be a transvaginal scan ( TVS ) of the uterus and ovaries.
