What Causes Weakness, Sweating And Nausea After A Bowel Movement?

default
Posted on Thu, 28 Apr 2016
Question: My question is why following a bowel movement do I get sick. I am weak, sweat, nausea and very tired. My doctor says he has no idea, yet online I have discovered many people who suffer in this same way. No one really has anything that helps.
I have suffered for years with this but it is getting worse. I know I have IBS but these are not real symptoms of this. Please give me some idea of what I can take to help this
Maybe something natural. Thank You!

Brief Answer:
This is a vaso-vagal reflex!!!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have reported following bowel movements. This is typical of vasovagal syncope/lipothymia. This leads to a rapid drop in blood pressure which results in low oxygen flow to the brain which causes these symptoms. This is the reason why. I will suggest that after bowel movements, I Will sill suggest that you lie down flat for a while with the legs raised. This will prevent such symptoms. Also, avoid rising too quickly from the seated position. Finally, avoid over straining while pooping. Please, report the progress to me.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.
