Question: kay so here's somewhat of a better picture The "bug bite " sore and then a zoomed in close up (having a hard time taking any pictures , my kids keep following me around). Again this had been there for around two months . Also , I have an interactive thyroid , I take 200 mcg of levothyroxine daily . I also went to the e.r around one month ago , I just felt really awful and couldn't describe my symptoms , I just felt like death our something . my hemoglobin level was 8 so they did a transfusion . they also said my w bc count was high and prescribed antibiotics , although they couldn't pin point exactly what infection they were treating . this was really confusing for me .I didn't get an answer as to why my hemoglobin was low or what I was taking antibiotics for . I didnt even think about showing them the spot on my breast I didn't figure it was related or significant until I started to find answers by doing my own research .im also retaining allot of water , not sure if that is related , the third picture is before and then two months later

Brief Answer:
Resembles Fungal infection

Detailed Answer:
Good day,

Noted your concern.
The lesion resembles that of a fungal infection.
I can also see that you have put on weight on the second photo ( comparison photo side by side).

The weight gain and low Hb, High WBC count together with this ? fungal patch need to be investigated.

This is nothing to do with Thyroid. However another hormone condition called as Cushing's syndrome need to be rule out which can cause weight gain, fungal infections and high white cell count.

Are the skin lesions itchy ??

Binu

Nope no pain or itching . However I did find a lump on the same breast that has the other things going on . not sure if it's just a swollen lymph node or a mass. and rather it's weight gain or water retention(water retention was my thought because it comes and goes, my hand in the pictures showing this) , it doesn't make sense.
and if it is a fungal infection would the ten day antibiotic (two different kinds) that the e.r prescribed me not have fixed that .

Brief Answer:
Fungal infections can not be treated by antibiotics

Detailed Answer:
If you feel there is a lump, then you need a mammogram +/- ultrasound scan. Fungal infection can not be cured by antibiotics. Infact, antibiotics make fungal infection worse. Fungal infection require treatment with antifungals. Antibiotics are for bacterial infection

Brief Answer:
Wish you a speedy recovery

Detailed Answer:
Lymph nodes are not present in breast, they are only in armpits. Any breast lump need to evaluated. Well, if you lose weight, the breast size also may reduce to some extent. Highlight these points to your doc on next visit.

Wish you a speedy recovery

Binu
