What Causes Weight Loss Postpartum?

Question: My wife delivered a baby girl 11 months back.
She was 56 kgs when she conceived and went on till 67 kg at the time of c section delivery.
My daughter was on exclusive breast feeding for 6 months and now on other foods along with breast feeding.
This question is about my wife's weight loss. She is at present 47 kg and her BMI is 19 with height around 158 cm. We did a health check up around 3 months back to check the thyroid level and it was under normal range and other general blood reports were also normal. She is healthy otherwise with no other specific complaints.
Do I need to be worried about this weigt loss?

Brief Answer:
Its normal
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
Weight loss is normal after child birth and while on breastfeeding.
Breastfeeding promotes weight loss and resuming pre pregnancy weight.
If all the reports are normal, and your wife is not having any weakness, lethargy or any other abnormal symptoms, then there is absolutely nothing to worry.
She should take high protein diet and maintain healthy lifestyle.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
