What Causes Weird Sensations On The Penis Tip?
Rule out sexually transmitted infections and urinary tract infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM to post your question.
I read it carefully and I understand your concern.
If you are sexually active, even if the symptoms are not typical, you still need to rule out sexually transmitted infections.
So my recommendations are:
-- Drink plenty of fluids so the urinary bladder would be emptied often.
-- Consider doing a urine analyse to rule out a sexually transmitted infection.
-- Consider doing tests to rule out Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Trichomonas, HIV and Syphilis (if you are sexually active).
Hope this is helpful.

Antibiotic options suggested.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for the follow up question.
Yes you will need to take an antibiotic.
Common options include:
-- co-trimoxazole (trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole) 160/800 mg orally twice daily
-- ciprofloxacin 500 mg orally twice daily
-- levofloxacin 500 mg orally once daily
Treatment duration typically 7 days for acute cystitis (so if you have that feeling but not back pain and no fever), 10-14 days for pyelonephritis (if you have back pain, fever, proteins in the urine).
You will need to do the urine analyse though, together with a urine culture because in men it is very hard to treat in full a urinary tract infection so it is important to follow the right steps.
Hope this helps.

Amoxicillin will not work.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
No, Amoxicillin wont work because the spectrum of bacterias that it covers it's very tight so does not cover the ones that most frequently cause UTI.
