What Causes Weird Tingling Sensation In Upper Chest While Breathing?
Question: Hi,
I started having a weird tingling sensation in my upper Chest when breathing yesterday and now I also feel it in my bottom front teeth. I have a history of acid reflux but not sure if this is related or maybe some kind of chest congestion. I do not feel sick otherwise.

Brief Answer:
Asthma disease can start with such symptoms.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Do you have any cough, fever, shortness of breath, sore throat? Have you had any infection recently?
Acid reflux disease is a condition which is very often associated with asthma (in about 80%). Such weird tingling sensation associated with breathing can be the sign of asthma beginning. However much more characteristic for asthma is cough and shortness of breath.
Acid reflux can also irritate the throat and be the reason of such sensation as well.
I suggest you to consult pulmonologist with this issue (its not urgent). Spirometry (blow test) should be done.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

I don't really have any other symptoms. I cough sometimes purposly to see if that will make the feeling go away. It doesn't. My mom has asthma. Maybe I really am in the beginning stages of it. I'm currently looking for a new primary care physician. Should I go to emergency? Or am I ok to wait for a new patient appointment?
Brief Answer:
No need to visit ER.
Detailed Answer:
For sure this does not need emergency visit. You can wait for an appointment.
The only reason to concern is a shortness of breath along with cough. Such symptom indicates bronchi narrowing.
