Brief Answer:
I want to know your weight, height and smoking history.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Sleep apnea is commonly seen with obese people.
So please let me know your weight, height and smoking history, so that I can guide you better about sleep apnea.
If you are not obese then sleep apnea is less likely and panic attack is more likely.
I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

I am a former smoker. I quit smoking in 1985, and I am obese. I am 5'11" and 270 lbs.

I can understand your concern.
I have calculated your BMI (body mass index).
It comes to 37.
This is classified as morbid obesity and this can cause sleep apnea.
So please let me know
1. Is this first time happening?
2. Do you have excessive day time sleepiness?
3. Do you have morning headache?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

This was the first time this happened. Sleepiness usually only after a meal. No headaches.
