What Causes White Coating On The Tongue, Hoarseness And Loss Of Voice?
Some possible option what it can be.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.
It can be many things that you need to rule out:
-- Firstly, most possible option is a fungal infection which will need an antifungal oral cream, or even tablets (eg. Fluconazole, Nystatin) to get treated.
-- Secondly, it may be post nasal drip, since you have the hoarse voice and the feeling of clearing the throat.
-- If you have any stomach discomfort, all these may come from acid reflux from the stomach. A bit of it goes in the airways and causes irritation of the vocal cords, thus it also causes hoarseness of voice as a result. And at the same time it causes the coating of the mouth.
-- Smoking can also gives rise the same, if you do at all, then it's the right time to stop it completely.
I would recommend discussing these option with your doctor (Preferably ENT-specialist), so s/he can examine you and determine what is it definitely, management will be done after diagnosing the exact cause.
Hope this is helpful.
