Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
Unfortunately, I cannot find any picture attached. Please make sure that you have uploaded it in the right place. You can upload the picture on the right side of the query page or can mail me to YYYY@YYYY with subject as ATTN:Dr. Diptanshu Das. And please do write back here that you have mailed or uploaded the photo, for me to go through it and reply you back at the earliest.
Although I have not looked at the image, there is a possibility of a fungal infection. In fungal infections applying clotrimazole cream along with some moisturizer topically for around 10 days should provide relief but would like to suggest you only after seeing the picture.
Awaiting for your reply.
I hope this is not vitiligo
I do not think that it is vitiligo.

Thanks for asking back.
I have seen the images.
They are not vitiligo, where there is complete destruction of the melanocytes in the affected region. It is probably not the case here. It is rather likely to be pityriasis versicolor which is caused by a fungus.
Treatment is simple and as I mentioned. Just apply candid lotion (clotrimazole) along with some moisturizer for a couple of weeks and things should eventually be fine.
You need not worry.
Are u sure it is not vitiligo ?
I hope image is clear
Also it is only at one place
Will it clear in 10 days if it is fungal infection ?
Not likely to be vitiligo.

Thanks for asking back.
I would request you not to panic. It is very unlikely to be vitiligo. I can make it out clearly from the image. Some lack of pigmentation might occur in children where melanocytes are just gaining their melanin.
Even if it is a fungal infection, it might not clear even in 10 days and still probably there is nothing to worry.
But for your satisfaction, you may visit a dermatologist and get your worries cleared.
I guess I shall take her to dermatologist
Can u tell me what is Hypopigmentation along Blaschko lines ?
Is it dangerous ?
I hope for my child thus is not the case
It is not dangerous
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Yes, you need to take her to a dermatologist.
Blaschko's lines give the linear disposition and demonstrate the sequence in which the skin cells develop. So, if one precursor cell is damaged, the cell line that was supposed to develop from it would have eventually distributed following a Blaschko's line; hence the damage will manifest as a linear hypopigmentation following that Blaschko's line. It is not relevant in her case.
Your child case is very simple and not dangerous. You need not panic.
