What Causes White Discharge From The Nipples While Having Hyperprolactinemia?
The stress is the cause of your problem.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.
Hyperprolactinemia is a condition in which a person has higher-than-normal levels of the hormone prolactin in the blood. The main function of prolactin is to stimulate breast milk production. This is the culpit of your problem.
It is very important to find the cause of the hyperprolactinemia,so you can have the right treatement.
If you were my patient,i will ask:
- blood test is used to detect the level of prolactin.
- the blood levels of thyroid hormone. (hypothyroidism can be a cause of hyperprolactinemia.
-i will also ask about other conditions and medication use that can cause hyperprolactinemia.
The prolactin level raise during psychologic and physical stress.
This is the cause of you recent symptom (the production of breast milk).
My advice for you is: Try to reduce the life stress. This may be beneficial for you.
Hope I have clarified your doubts. If you have any further queries, please feel free to ask.(you can ask me at HealthCareMagic at my private link: bit.do/hcm-Dr-Xhardo). I would be happy to help.
Thank you for using HCM.
Wish you good health.
Yes,The key for your problem is: Reduce Stress!
Detailed Answer:
Helo
Welcome again
A high level of stress causes dopamine levels to drop and prolactin to rise.
For this reason(as we discussed earlier),if you manage your stress, the symptom of galactorrhea or a spontaneous flow of milk produced by your breasts, very probably will disappear.
In my opinion another important factor for the treatement of your condition is the diet. This can help you to reduce the prolactin level. My advice is:
-A whole foods diet rich in fruits and vegetables, especially dark, leafy greens, is thought to optimize anyone's health.
-Beyond this, certain foods emerge as specifically beneficial in lowering prolactin levels.
-Consider eating more foods containing vitamin B6, such as potatoes, bananas, wild salmon, chicken and spinach.
-Also, according to some studies, supplementation with zinc decreased prolactin levels.Foods high in zinc include shellfish, beef, turkey and beans.
So my answer is:If you reduce your stress, have a healthy diet and take the right treatement(bromcriptine )as prescripted by your treating doctor, you will certainly reduce prolactin levels and your hyperprolactinemia will be normalized.
Hope this information is helpful for you.
Let me know if you have further questions.
Take care.
You're welcome.

I'm sure that you will have very good results after some weeks, if you do the necessary lifestyle changes and treatement with bromcriptine.
Wish you good health.
Dr.Xhardo
The medicine works but it expensive to buy i mean brompcriptine
Don't worry, Bromcriptine is not used forever.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again
The treatement with Bromcriptine for Hyperprolactinemia do not last forever,it depends to the cause of hyperprolactinemia.
This condition generally is caused by a type of tumour called a prolactinoma.
Your treating doctor after a MRI scan or CT scan of the head can have the necessary information about the size of the tumour and the options of treatement.
Medication is a very effective treatment for most prolactinomas.
Bromcriptin is a type called dopamine agonists. These act on the pituitary gland to reduce the amount of prolactin it makes, and they can also shrink the tumour.
Usually with this medication, prolactin levels go down to normal in a few weeks. Dopamine agonists can be taken as long-term treatment, but not forever because of side effects.
Patients should be evaluated frequently during dose titration to determine the lowest dosage to the desired therapeutic effects.
At the other side there are other options of treatement.
-Surgery may be an option if medication does not work, is not wanted, or for larger prolactinomas. The operation is called trans-sphenoidal surgery.
-Radiotherapy (X-ray treatment) is not usually needed for prolactinomas - however, it may be used rarely, if other treatments are not sufficient.
My advice is to contact with your treating doctor for the follow up.
Your doctor will check your progress to make sure the medicine is working and will discuss with you how long your treatment should continue.
Don't worry ,i'm sure that everythink will be Ok.
Wish you all the best.
Yes,all depends on you.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Wecome back.
So,as we discussed in the last reply, the treatement with Bromcriptine, the reduction of stress and the right diet for your condition, can normalize the overproduction of prolactin and the side effects that are produced by the excessive amount of this hormone.
If the tumour is microprolactinoma(less tha 1 cm)the possibility that bromcriptine can shrink it and elimine the symptoms is high.
This possibility decrease if the tumour is big,but i don't think this is your case.
Don't worry;Normalization of PRL levels occurs in 85-90% of all patients with prolactinomas.
Anyway i'm curious to know your actual PRL level and if you have Headache and Visual disturbances, these symptoms are important to undertand the size of the tumour and to have a better information about your actual situation.
Regards.
So if i normalize my pro lacting level can i have fertility on a woman or give birth when i have sex with a woman
You must control your blood pressure during the treatement.
Detailed Answer:
It is very important that during the bromcriptine treatement ,you have a normal blood pressure.
Bromocriptine is contraindicated in patients with uncontrolled hypertension.
Headache can be a side effect of bromcriptine or can be because of the tumour.Anyway ,in my opinion ,in your case it is more possible that is the side effect of the drug because you don't have visual problems.
And your actual Prolactin level???
My answer is:YES.
Detailed Answer:
Yes,if the tumour is small or microadenoma the possibility that the therapy with Bromcriptine is very effective and shrink the tumour,is very high.
It is a common and reversible cause of male infertility, and has excellent results with dopamine agonist drugs or Bromcriptine.
So, as i said,Don't stress, because your condition can be managed medically with simple medication, such as bromocriptine , which normalizes serum prolactin levels, restoration of gonadal function, reversing infertility caused by hyperprolactinemia and induces reduction in the prolactinoma size.
Hope this helps you.
Anyway if you have other doubts ,please do not hesitate to contact me.You can ask me at HealthCareMagic at my private link: bit.do/hcm-Dr-Xhardo.

You have normal BP and no lactation...this are good news.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again
wellcome back.
1.I suppose that with "my bp was low" ,you mean that your blood pressure is normal and this is good because this is important for the treatement with Bromcriptine.
In the moment when your BP is too high like 180/120,the headache is caused by the hipertension.
When blood pressure is 180/110 mm Hg or higher this is called hypertensive crisis and it is a medical emergency. You must be careful, because it is very very dangerous.
Important nore for you:Hypertension or hypertensive crisis are not common for a 25 years old person. So my advice is to consult a hypertensive specialist,if this problem persist.
2.Once the diagnosis (Hyperprolactinemia) has been established and therapy initiated, fasting prolactin levels should be monitored monthly. Later, prolactin levels can be monitored every 3-6 months. Shrinkage of the tumor should be followed by formal visual-field testing and MRI.
Let me know if you have further doubt (at HealthCareMagic at this link: bit.do/hcm-Dr-Xhardo.)I will be happy to help.
Or if everythink is clear, you can close the discussion and rate the answer.
Wish you all the best.
Stress can raise prolactin hormone.
Detailed Answer:
Dear
1.As we said several times, stress is harmful for you because it can raise the prolactin hormone and exacerbate your symptoms, for this reason you must try to manage and reduce stress.
2.It is true, some of the medicines of the treatement of High blood pressure such as calcium-channel blockers and methyldopa can cause hyperprolactinemia. In your case if you will need to take a treatement for high blood pressure, you must avoid this drugs.
if you reduce stress and take a regular treatement the tumour will not came back again.
Take care.
