What Causes White Patch On Upper Lip After Having Tetanus Shot?

Question: On Tuesday, March 15, 2016, I went for a wellness physical and received a tetanus shot. The follow Friday 18, I noticed a small white patch on my upper lip. Not thinking about it, I tried popping it thinking it was just a pimple. Pus did not come out but instead a clear liquid. I have been tested previously for hsv-1/2 and both came up negative. I have been with the same partner for almost 9 years now and we are both %100 faithful. The "blister" now has a scab-like covering on it. It did not burn, tingle or itch before it appeared or in its current state, only now does it have a slight "pull" feeling to it. Also, around a hair just above the main site, is another white dot slightly raised. Could this be an allergic reaction to a tetanus shot? It seems that this makes sense because it first appear 3 days after i received the shot.
Brief Answer:
This is folliculitis, apply topical antibiotic
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I have gone through your complaints and reviewed the attached photographs.
You are having folliculitis which is inflammation of the hair follicles.
In such cases I recommend my patients to apply topical antibiotic like mupirocin cream or fusidic acid cream on the affected area twice daily for 5-7 days.
This usually resolves the lesion.
I hope to have answered your query and would be happy to clarify any further doubts.

Where could I get a topical antibiotic? Is it something that needs to be prescribed or is it something I can get from over the counter? Also, is this condition contagious? Will is spread to other areas of my body if say I wipe my mouth then itch my arm? How does a person get folliculitis or is it just a random occurrence?
Brief Answer:
Not contagious, can occur randomly
Detailed Answer:
I don't know whether mupirocin cream or fusidic acid cream will be available as over the counter medicines in your country.
You can use neosporin ointment. It is a topical antibiotic and available as over the counter.
No it is not contagious. It won't spread to other areas of the body.
Mostly it is a bacterial infection of the hair follicle and can occur randomly. Sometimes it can occur due to physical or chemical agents causing irritation to the hair follicle.
