What Causes White Patches On Teeth Of A Child?

Other day I saw his new teeth edge has got chipped off whcih even he was not aware when. its not due to any fall injury because there is no other injury in his mouth if that was the case. But off late i see his teeth shows up white patches. Is this any calcium defcieincy? or any other thing i should be worrying about. I do not want to take him to dentist because they have become too cosmetic and so not want any thing tried on his teeth while he is so small.
Please suggest and guide
Can be due to Enamel hypoplasia , Flourosis
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX ,
Thanks for consulting Healthcare magic .
This is Dr. Priyanka tiwari answering your query.
Read your query , understand your concern as your child had white spot on teeths this can be due to Enamel hypoplasia in this what happened is outer most layer of teeth that is enamel didnt formed properly and teeth are becoming britle or white spot can be due to Flurosis or too much flouride during development.
Can you attach a image (report) of white patches on teeth that will be more helpful for me to arrive at conclusion.
Based on the detail provided if your child has mild hypoplasia then no treatment is required , if it is moderate then I will suggest you to consult Pedodontist and go for Restoration composite or porcelain veneer of tooth that enamel Is chipped off .
Awaiting pictures to comment further .
Hope I have answered your query.
If you have further query I will be happy to help.

Attached are the pics of his teeth. Now the white patch do not appear so much, but morning they are very obvious.
I wil be switching to a herbal toothpaste from today, may be due to brushing two times in the toothpaste which i use might have caused this problem too as sometime he may not rinse properly.
But yes breaking of teeth is more worrying to me. Apart from calcium can giving codliver capsules help him?

XXXX
No treatment is required as such ,oral prophylaxis
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX ,
Welcome again .
I have seen that reports you have attached as far as I have observed in image there is mild enamel hypoplasia there is nothing to be woried No treatment is required as such, for this I will suggest you to maintain his good oral hygiene by brushing his teeth twice and as I have observed image there is mild yellowish stains present on teeth so you can consult Oral surgeon ( Pedodontist) and go for Scaling of his teeth .
As you are asking for calcium tablets and Codliver capsules you can consult Physician and go for calcium supplements that will be good for him.
Hope I have answered your query.
If you have further query I will be happy to help.
