What Causes White Spots On The Tip Of The Penis After Circumcision?
Question: I Had a circumscion 6 days ago. It was healing well but a day back I applied coconut oil every 3 hours 3 times and then after taking bath I saw that there was a white patch that was getting formed. I realised that something was wrong and I stopped applying the oil. I then started applying antiseptic liquid and have started taking Staphylex 500 mg tablets as anti biotics. I am able to walk etc, no fever, no pain when passing urine. The sutures have started falling down but this white layer is beginning to worry me. Can you advice when I will be able to wear my undies and pants. As I have a seperate room I am able to be without any clothes. Can you please guide? Thx.
Brief Answer:
Coconut Oil formed a film
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Do not worry, there is absolutely no problem healing. Because of oil application there is thin film that is formed which is the charecteristic of the oil. I do not think it will hamper the healing since you stopped it. The layer will soon go off as you soap it every day during bath.
You can start wearing the undergarments as soon as the stitches fall off.

Thanks Dr. But there was a bit of blood beneath the White layer as when washing I tried to remove the layer but was painful and hence I just left it as it is. This was yesterday. But couple of hours back after my shower I again applied the antiseptic liquid and now - at this minute as I sm typing , to my pleasant XXXXXXX I find that the whit layer is beginning to ease out. Is this ok, please advise. Thanks a bunch.
Brief Answer:
Be gentle while washing the area
Detailed Answer:
It is ok for the white layer to ease out. Actually that is what I was expecting in your next response. Be gentle while you scrub the area that is stitched. The stitches soon fall off. You may not need antiseptic liquid after the stitches fall off completely.
