What Causes Yellow Vaginal Discharge After An Abortion?
Question: Hi,
I had an abortion on 29th Sep’14 during my 13th Week of pregnancy due to multiple anomalies of the fetus. As of today, 18 days completed after abortion. The Abortion was done by dilating the cervix, post which My OBGYN did Curettage. I had normal bleeding (as in my regular periods) for 4 days after which the bleeding subsided, however there was spotting. Initially the spotting was like red color, later spotting changed to pink /orange colour with little sticky like cervical mucus (that appear during ovulation time) and little odour. Later the spotting was random. Now I am getting Yellow discharge with odour. The discharge is not much and not constant. The yellow dischare is coming sometimes and this is for past two days.
Is this a problem? Is it a sign of any infection? When I will be back to normal periods? Should I take Ultrasound to check if everything is ok? If yes, pls let know what ultrasound to be taken?
After my Discharge form abortion, My OBGYN prescribed to take “AUGMENTIN 650 “, BPLEX FORTE, RANTAC 150 FOR 10 Days ( Morning + night )
