What Causes Yellowish Fluid Seeping From Elbow?
Question: 5days ago I was leaning on the table with my left elbow and realized a big pocket of yellow liquid on the floor. when I realized it was coming from a small hole in the end of my elbow. it was pure yellow and when I started to squeeze it out ,it became a little orange color for 5 days it hasn't closed up and it is still seeping. no blood. I also took 500 m of ammocillin for the 5 days and it doesn't seem to have affect. I work outside cutting lawns everyday but don't rememeber getting bit. also there is no pain at all.
Brief Answer:
Bursitis likely.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The fluid that is seeping from your elbow is likely to be due to bursitis. Taking amoxycillin will not help. You need antibiotics like cefpodoxime or cefdinir to avoid any infection in the area. Taking anti inflammatory medicines will help. You also need to consult a physician for regular dressing and to rule out any chronic infections like tuberculosis.
I hope this answers your query.
