Question: Hello doctor :) I'm just a bit worried about this red spot on my lip... it doesn't look like a cold sore but it's just a really red spot. Approximately 2 weeks ago I woke up with a big bump on my lip & it shocked the hell out of me! The previous night I had went to this restaraunt called Buffalo Wild Wings, & got this REALLY spicy chicked called Caribbean Jerk, & I don't know if that's where the bump came from or not (an allergic reaction). So I had went to the doctor the next morning like I had planned to before the bump even appeared & it had went down a lot & he said it was nothing to be worried about & that was it! Ugh, I'm just really paranoid it coukd be some type of herpes... I really am. & every since the first red bump came it feels like other ones try to form on my lip but don't, & now the current red spot on my lip is getting bigger as I type. I really feel like crying. Even if it is just a pimple on my lip, why out of all places does it have to be on my lip?! I struggle with acne too I must say. Idk why! I only drink lemonade, lemon water, light colored sodas (1-2 a week) & 70% of the time I'm drinking water so idk what the acne cause could be (the ones on my face). I'm african american/asian if that helps too. Please help me doc :(

It pains before it pops up & it turns bright red. It's like every since the first bump popped up, more & more are being vunerable. I use vaseline, mango butter burt's bees chapstick, & spf chapstick because my lips are turning colors too! I don't even know, but I do know the sun gave me a pigmentation problem on my left leg (nothing major but...) & I don't know if the sun would have anything to do with the change of color on my lips but I would assume because it's worst in the summer :( . I really don't know if I'm having weird reactions to things around me, the sun, or acne. I'm worried as I don't knoe what, but everyone else seems to think I'm crazy lol. But it's embarrassing...
