Question: 22 year old female chronic low grade fevers for the past year. Found Hashimoto's and papillary thyroid cancer. Had total thyroidectomy and fever broke for two weeks and then returned, its lower than before but still debilitating. Severe fatigue, headaches, dry mouth, and canker sores. Blood tests mostly normal except for elevated CRP and ESR, borderline enlarged spleen, positive monospot test, negative for ebstein bar, low vitamin d Thoughts?

Brief Answer: Thyroid & Vitamin D Detailed Answer: Sorry to note how you're feeling May I know when your thyroid surgery was done. I assume it was around the same time that your PTC (Papillary Thyroid Cancer) was diagnosed. When were your last thyroid function tests done? And what were the results of TSH and Free T4? What is the vitamin D level in the blood ? Treatment dose is generally guided by the degree of insufficiency. Are you already on vitamin D supplements ?
