Brief Answer:
Melanoma

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir,

Greetings,

After going through your history, I can understand the concern you have regarding the disease condition of your father.I extend my full sympathy with you.

As per the history of you father, he has undergone two times surgery on his face for melanoma, also he has being operated in neck for clearance of lymph node and a salivary gland.

As per your question you want to know about any herbs or particular food in place of radiation therapy.

So the answer is NO there is no scientifically approved herbs or food which can be given in place of radiotherapy.

In my opinion it is not a good idea to go against radiotherapy, as because after removal of melanoma by surgery still chances are there that few cancerous cell are present in the margin of excision and in deep tissue in the operated site.

So for total clearance of cancerous cells radiotherapy is a must.

Whether radiotherapy should be given or not also depends on the following factors:-

1. Size and site of tumour,
2. Depth of involvement,
3. Has spread to distance place or not,
4. Stage of tumour,
5. Area in which tumour is present like near vital structure, gland, bone, cartilage, lacrimal gland, etc.

So I request you to kindly tell me the above mentioned information so that I can further guide you better, also I request you to upload a picture of melanoma (before surgery picture) to access properly its location on face.

Hope you understand the gravity of situation, and please do not hesitate to ask if any further query you have.

Expecting to listen back from you,

Wishing your father a speedy recovery and good health,

Regards,

Thanks.

Thanks so much for this information. Unfortunately, my father is dead set against radiation therapy, so that's not an option. But I appreciate your insights! he feels that the "side effects" of the radiation on the cheek area would have too profound an effect on his quality of life. And that's his decision!

And now I know there aren't other things he ought to be doing.

Again, thank you for taking the time.

Best,
