What Do GGT Values Of 110U/l And SGOT Of 41.66 U/l Indicate?

Question: in my Blood test report the GGT value is 110 U/l and SGOT is 41.66 U/l and SGPT is 67.64 U/l ,so can you please advice what are these reflecting too

yes i am alcholic and consume alchols almost everyday.
i was feeling pain in my right abdomen and wanted to go for a general checkup and the results are as given to you.

i would like to know what precautions and medicines i should take .

Alcohol has a damaging effect on the liver. It is due to such liver injury that the liver enzymes have been elevated. Unless you stop this insult on the liver no medicines are going to help. The only precaution that would help is to refrain from your alcohol intake.

thanks a lot sir i will reduce the intake of alchol,but do i need to quit alchol forever or can have it ocassionally.

I understand your query but you need to understand the situation. Imagine that everytime you drink, you are thrashing your liver badly. You are asking whether you need to stop thrashing the liver completely or whether it is ok to thrash your liver occasionally. Now, if I come and beat you up badly and then give you a couple of days to recover before I come to beat you up again, do you think that is really a great improvement from beating you up everyday? Unless the beating or thrashing completely stops the situation would not improve.
