Brief Answer:
Do you have any symptoms?

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Before commenting on the reports I would like to know whether you have any symptoms or complaints regarding abdomen and also reason behind doing this test.
I am asking this because your report values are pretty much normal and nothing to be worried about. Unless bilirubin is in normal range, slight increase sgpt and sgot is of no value. And as you have not commented about other reports, I assume they are in normal range and hence this report can be safely ignored as normal asymptomatic people can sometimes have slightly raised sgot and sgpt levels.
So if you do have any symptoms kindly reply with the same.
Awaiting your reply.
Thank you

Brief Answer:
Better to reduce the quantity

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for following up with me.
Yes alcohol does cause derangement of liver function test as it affects the liver.
Your reports are still not so high to call it alarming but if you already know the probably cause then it's better to stop or atleast reduce it.
I feel you can slowly start reducing the quantity of beer and restrict yourself to 1 or 2 per week and slowly more down. Ideally you should totally stop it and it will the best if you could do that.
Trust me you don't want to go that all liver troubles alcohol does to body. Better stop it now or atleast reduce to minimal levels.
Hope this advice helps.
If you have any questions kindly ask me back.
Thank you

Brief Answer:
If you start reducing then after 1 month

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
You are very much welcome.
If you really cut down or stop alcohol consumption then I think after 1 month you can repeat the test and if its normal or similar then no need to repeat for another 6 months or so.
I hope this advice helps.
Thank you
