What Do Black Bumps On Scrotum Indicate?
Question: This is a question about small caraway seed -sized oval black bumps that appear to be just under skin surface on scrotum, about 10 - 20. There is no body-part protruding as with classic ticks. Treated with Lice Shampoo 3 times with little effect. I am monogamous and live in an area with lots of local deer in our yards also use toilet at work where there are a lot of new-comers from Asia (India). What is it and how to treat? I am embarassed to ask my regular doctor who is a woman.
Brief Answer:
Sebaceous cysts
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
May I please see a more clear picture ? ( the one posted is not clear).
The commonest reason for such lumps in numbers of 10 -20 can be due to multiple sebaceous cysts.
Most of the times they are self limiting, meaning the body takes care of these and may vanish over time.
Rarely surgery may be advised if the patient is willing.

In my question I should have included that the bumps increase in number slowly and crawling sensation is felt from the scrotum, although no creatures are found moving on the surface of the skin. they seem to be completely burrowed just beneath the first layer of skin. size = about 1/2 rice-grain
