Question: Since last 6 months, there is a black spot has started appearing at my face, which was light in the beginning but now it has become little dark black. Refer attached images.
Since last 2 month, I can see that 2nd black spot has also started appearing at my face.
Do you have any suggestion - medicine or cream, which I should use? Do you want me to get few checks done?
Brief Answer:
Possibility of Fixed drug eruption
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic
I am Dr. Kakkar. I have gone through your query and I have understood it.
I would like to keep either a possibility of Fixed Drug Eruption(FDE) OR Lichen planus pigmentosus(LPP).
Fixed drug eruption, as the name indicates the eruption is fixed in its location.
A lot of drugs can cause this kind of eruption e.g commonly used pain killers/antipyretics, antibiotics, anthelmintic etc which are commonly prescribed for cold, flu, diarrhea/dysentry etc cause most of the cases of FDE.
Intake of the incriminating drug causes it to reappear or become prominent. Therefore carefully checking the history for the drug administered, might incriminate a particular drug which should be avoided.
--Do you have a history of intake of a particular drug which might have lead to the appearance of this dark colored patch (e.g pain killers/antipyretics, antibiotics, anthelmintic etc)?
Regards
