What Do Body Aches After Using Estrogen Patches For Hot Flashes Indicate?
Question: I am 50 year old women, i had a hysterectomy about a year ago and was put on estrogen patch (very low dose) to help with my extreme hot flashes. about 3-4 weeks ago i started to notice feeling very run down and my body ached, like i was coming down sick, it never turned into a cold but still to this day i feel this way. about 2 weeks ago my gland in the middle of my neck swelled up and was tender for about a week, it went away and then a gland behind my left year swelled up and stayed there for about a week as well. in the meantime my breast became extremely sore and nipples very sensitive... I would like to know what this could all be especially with the achy body. I did have a mamagram done on monday and waiting to get the results from that. i have an appt. with my doctor in the morning but would like to see what i might be looking at

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
You might have just had a viral flu that can often lead to swelling of neck and ear glands.
Breast changes would be due to hormonal therapy.
You could request complete blood work and chest and abdominal scanning to be on the safer side.
No reason to assume anything more sinister.
All the best.
Please feel free to discuss further
