Detailed Answer:
Hello ,

Thanks for consulting Healthcaremagic .
This is Dr. Priyanka tiwari answering your query.

I have read your query and understand your concern. As far as bumps on and under tongue is concerned this can be due to geographic tongue or submandibular gland infection .

Can you upload the image of your tongue that will be more helpful for me to arrive at conclusion and give you proper diagnosis .

Based on details provided, you have seen your medical provider and treated for a fungal infection but the tongue changes have not resolved. From this history I would conclude that you probably have a geographic tongue. Geographic tongue is where the tongue has various colors and pigment changes for unknown reason. This is normal . Alternatively, the swelling under the tongue along with swollen and tender area under the jawline can be due to infection in the submandibular salivary gland..

The third possibility, if the swelling comes and goes then it can be most probably due to salivary stone formation which can cause obstruction in the duct of the salivary gland.

You should consult a Dentist and get evaluated and a cross sectional x ray can help in diagnosis. .

Awaiting pictures to comment further .

Hope this will help you .

Brief Answer:
Detailed below .Nothing to be worried so much.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX.
Welcome .
I have gone through pics you have send . As far as i have observed there frictional keratosis (small elevations )on lateral border of tongue . There is nothing to be worried . These elevations on lateral border of tongue can be due to sharp cusps of posterior teeth . For this i will suggest you to consult oral surgeon and get sharp cusps grinding. I will also suggest you to maintain good oral hygiene . Use tongue scraper to clen your tongue . Use mouthwash regularly .

Hope this will help you.
If you have further query i will be happy to help .
