Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist and would do my best to help you.
Based on the symptoms, we need to exclude seizures. An EEG (electroencephalogram) would be useful to exclude seizure activity.
I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.
Wishing you good health,

our pediatrican stated this is normal/not uncommon and to observe and report anything further. So would you consider this to be uncommon?
Brief Answer:
EEG is preferable.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.
I agree seizures are uncommon. Also, even if this was seizure, the chance of recurrence is only 50%.
I would not find any fault with the Pediatrician's approach. However, as a Neurologist, I would prefer getting an EEG done, simply because it is safe and can give us valuable information.
Best wishes,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology)
