What Do Four Good Follicles Indicate?
Question: Hi Doc,
I took Siphene 100 mg from 9 - 13 July 14.
Today I went for scanning, and doctor gave the report as follows:
LO - 23x16(19.5mm)
18m, 19x12
RO 20x18, 16x22 (19mm)
EI - 8mm
Doc gave HCG 10000 injection also.
and asked to visit again after two days.
She said, 4 good sized folicles are there.
Is it a problem doctor?
Will there be pain during ovulation?
Is there any possiblity of ovulating more eggs together, and getting twins or more?
When is good date for intercourse.?
Doctor asked us to try all days in this week.

As such, with 4 good follicles, chances of more than one follicle rupturing ( ovulating ) are high.
Ovulation is mildly painful, not such that you could not bear it, so do not worry.
Sometimes, if more than one follicle ruptures, excessive fluid collects in the pelvis, and it can get uncomfortable.
Painkillers mostly take care of it.
Yes, there is a chance of multiple pregnancy if more than one follicle ruptures.
After taking the HCG shot, you should remain sexually active for the next week , everyday or every alternate day.
That way chances of conception will be maximized.
First go for the scan after 2 days when you would know how many of the 4 follicles ruptured.
Then a fairly good idea would be had of what to expect.
Do not worry,as even in women who ovulate with more than 1 follicle, not 100 % of them have twins.

4-6 July: brown spotting
7: slight red bleeding
8-12 July : good bleeding.
We visited doctor on 8th and took medicine saphine : 9 - 13 July.
Now we really have tension about getting a triling or more.
We love to have twins.
But more than that is riskier...
