What Do Itchy Blisters On Back Indicate?
Blisters on the back possibilities
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I understand from your query that you are having slightly itchy blisters on you back.
From your brief history and description, I would consider the possibilities of papular urticaria ( insect bite reaction), scabies, polymorphic light eruption and acneiform eruption.
Could you give me few more details so that I can assess your problem better?
1. For how many days have you had it?
2. Is it confined only to your back or is spreading to other areas?
3. Did you have a lot of sun exposure?
You have a feature to upload the images by yourself at the right side of the query page, please utilize that so that I can answer your query better. You can also send the image as attachment to YYYY@YYYY , with the subject as 'Attn: Dr. Johny Chacko'

? Polymorphic light eruption/ ? P. folliculitis
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for the clarification.
It would have been better if you had uploaded a clinical picture as well.
However, based on your history, I would consider the possibilities of Polymorphic light eruption and Pityrosporum folliculitis.
Polymorphic light eruption is an allergy to UV rays of the sun. It generally starts after many years of sun exposure.
You could apply a cream containing 1% hydrocortisone twice a day for 2 weeks. You should also follow struct sun protection as the lesions could recur even with a few minutes of sun exposure.
Use a broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or above every 3-4 hours while outdoors.
Pityrosporum folliculitis is an eruption caused by a yeast like fungus present on the skin.
It needs to be treated using an antifungal cream or lotion. You could use 1 % clotrimazole cream ( available over the counter) twice a day for 2-3 weeks.
You could also look for a shampoo containing Selenium sulfide. It should be applied for around 20 minutes before washing off during a bath.
Hope this helps you.
Take care.
