What Do My Blood Test Reports Indicate?
Question: Had blood tests from my General Practioner on my thyroid i have hashimotos and i take 75mcg of levothyroxine each day. My test scores were T4 1.69(0.61-1.12)High Free T3 2.05 (2.00-4.90) TSH 2.39(0.34-5.60} and TPO Thyroid Peroxidase AB 15.79(0.00-10.10) After looking at the results he suggested that i take less T4 and add T3(Liothyronine) 5mcg tab orally twice a day. and to skip a day of the Levothryroxine. What are your thoughts on this plan.

I have gone carefully through your concern.
To judge about the dose of levothyroxine, usually is suggested monitoring only TSH.
Ft4 may result high if you had taken levothyroxine the day you checked the hormones.
I wouldn't recommend to start T3 ( liothyronine) with TSH 2.39. At your age, would be more risky the hypothyroidism caused by T3 than an untreated Hashimoto, even though i would considered efficient 75 mcg levothyroxine you have been taking during these months.

so you think i should just follow what i am doing. I am in the Villages /florida and will be here until may when i go back to XXXXXXX and my endo there. I did put email into her but have not heard anything yet. Right now in bathroom as we are under a tornado alert. i have not started the T3 so i will just continue taking the T4 i can always recheck my t4 by going to the lab and paying for it myself thru personal labs . I think i will do that on thursday. Any other suggestions would be appreciated
