Brief Answer:
Hypertension causing bleeding through the nose and mouth is very common.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. Epistaxis (bleeding from the nose) is very common with Hypertension.

2. This bleeding will come from the mouth on lying down or if it is a posterior nasal bleed.

3. Nasal packing for 48 to 72 hours usually controls the bleed.

4. The main treatment is lowering the blood pressure and treating the cause of the Hypertension with medication, diet and lifestyle changes.

5. The nose has a very large blood supply and a ruptured blood vessel due to high blood pressure can bleed a lot. However these bleeds settle down after routine treatment.

6. No specific treatment is required for the nose as the underlying cause is the elevated blood pressure. As long as the blood pressure is controlled and the injured blood vessels get time to heal, mostly no further treatment is required.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.

Hi, Thanks fir your Answer!!

further want to know,

1- i generally sleep very late 1am night and wake up at 8:30 morning, is this also the reason of the high bp causing bleeding ?

2-what ideal time shall i follow for sleeping and awaking?

3- This is a summer time in XXXXXXX so should i avoid heat and hot sun rays , or may be with hot temp , nose bleeding can happen?

4- I am using no oil, ghee and fried, fast foods, only taking dal, curd, vegetables, fruits , juices, do it useful for me ?

Brief Answer:
Details as discussed below:

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for writing back.

1. Sleeping late and getting up early is unlikely to be the cause of the bleeding. Hypertension may arise from sleep disordered breathing.

2. The ideal duration of undisturbed sleep is mor important than the time of sleeping and waking. Follow a fixed time ad per your convenience.

3. Avoid hot weather as it may worsen the bleeding tendency.

4. You diet seems good but do investigate for hidden salt content.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
