Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

I am sorry to know that you are dealing shaky smile which is quite close to social anxiety disorder and there is impairment in functioning due to ongoing feeling of embarrassment.

Although the treatment of shaky smile is multi pronged but I feel psychotherapy will be a better option at your age.I understand that the problem is there for decades but considering the age we need to bother for side effects of medication and behavioral therapy will be the best available choice.

I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.

SSRI group of medications are treatment of choice

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

In your condition SSRI group of medications (Fluoxetine, Fluvoxamine, Sertraline, Escitalopram, Paroxetine) are the treatment of choice as they have minimal side effects.

The side effects include gastrointestinal (Nausea, Vomiting, loose motions, abdominal pain) and neurological (Tremor, restlessness, irritability). Although most of these side effects are of limited nature.

I hope this helps you.
