1. VDRL is a non treponemal test which will become negative after treatment but treponemal test like TPHA,MHA-TP,FTA-ABS remain positive forever since antibodies produced against syphilis remain in our body lifetime, which means that even if test comes positve (despite regular treatment/management) it usually indicates past Syphilis.

2. In Ayurveda I usually manage the disease on the line of "Firanga" Roga and Kapha Disorder, so if interested I can let you know about dietary regime and Herbal medicines.

1. At present Penicillin is the drug of choice in early stages [primary/ secondary/tertiary] of syphilis but in later stages [latent] it is of limited use.
2. Practicing safe sex is the only ideal way to avid spreading the disease to sexual partner [or otherwise]
3. Regular clinical evaluation and serological monitoring is necessary for identifying any other Immunocompromised disease or opportunistic infection
