What Do Redness And Discharge At Incision Site Post Appendectomy Indicate?

Question: Hello,
I had a lapro appendectomy a little over a week ago, instead of stitches the doctor used medical glue on my incisions. The past couple of days the one above my naval has been weeping. It's a mainly clear fluid, sometimes tinged pink, is this normal? I've never had a surgery before so I am a little nervous. I went to the doctor a few days after because we noticed the glue was turning white around the edges and thought it was infected but the doctor said it was normal.

Brief Answer:
Signs to worry about explained
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM to post your question.
I read it carefully and I understand your concern.
The clear liquid may be normal.
What should make you consider going to the doctor its the redness around the wound getting bigger, the pain to increase, the liquid to be yellowish and with smell.
Try to keep it dry and do the medications as recommended.
If worse or not better then go to the doctor.
Hope this is helpful.

Thank you,
One other thing, I've been dabbing at the wound with a tissue, just to get excess liquid off. Close to the opening the tissue would come away with a sticky kind of liquid. It's mainly clear again, sometimes a little more opaque. It doesn't smell and the redness around the incision hasn't increased at all. Could it be sticky because of the glue or could it be something else?
Thank you

Brief Answer:
Sticky because of the glue
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
As you are deacribing it I think its sticky because of the glue.
Keep in mind the symptoms I mentioned above and all will be fine.
The worst has gone now. One week and the wound its almost healed.
