What Do Small Movable Tumors On Hands Indicate?
Question: Hello Sir ,
I have small tumors on my hands nearly 10 which is movable and till now I have no pain . As one of my friend (Who is Doctor) suggested me that it may be neurofibromatosis . I first noticed it 3 years before at that time there is only two and that are too small so I ignored it but now as the numbers and size is increasing . I noticed the same in some other part of body also.
Please Advise me..
Brief Answer:
its mostly lipomatosis
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to HCM.
You are having something called as multiple lipomatosis.
Those swellings are mostly lipomas (needs a physical examination and a needle biopsy for confirmation).
These are benign fat swellings. And excision of all of them is not advisible. Only the one which are very big and causing cosmetic concern should be removed.
Otherwise its a harmless disease.
Hope i have been helpful.
