Thanks for your query.
I have read you query and I understand your concerns about PCOS.
Following is my reply:
1) You dont need any more hormonal tests as of now.
2) You dont need to undergo rigorous training in gym under a trainer and also have less than 1000 calorie diet with the help of a dietician.
3) Your cycle details are fairly good. Nothing to worry.
4) You dont need to start any medication for PCOS as you are not trying to get pregnant.
5) Please attach mammogram report so that I can guide you further on it.
6) PCOS is not leading to weight gain in your case. Test thyroid hormone profile also.
I hope I answered you query and addressed your concerns.

my follow up question - are you suggesting - NOT to train in the Gym? - I have a personal trainer at present for 3 days in a week .
I plan to get pregnant few months down the line ( likely by end of this year ) hence my question about any follow-up diagnosis and tests required to prepare for pregnancy ?
the TSH shows normal now and even 3 months back i had gt normal reports tor T3/ T4 and TSH
what could be the underlying reason for weight gain in my case ?
should i try the weight loss medication given specifically for PCOS - heard / learnt about it from www.
where can i come and personally visit you , if required in the near future for further consultation .
Your reports are normal.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I suggested you continue training in gym under a trainer.
Your reports are normal and no problem.
You need to get antral follicle count done by antral follicle count by doing transvaginal ultrasound scan before trying for pregnancy and count the exact number of follicles.
Fibroadenoma of breast is not to be worried.
Normal TSH cannot be reason for weight gain.
Dont try any weight loss medicines as they are not very useful.

what could be the reason for PCOS in my case ... i understand that in my case there are no visible symptoms of PCOS ... except weight gain ? is that right ?
if I dont take any medication now for treating PCOS.. will i face issues with conception ?
would you like to see the Ultrasound reports / pictures to decipher further , i will be collecting the hard copies of the report on Monday
what can be the reasons for no weight loss in spite of rigorous exercise regime ( burning 500 - 700 calories a day with cardio and weights training - 3 days ina week ) and 1200 calories meal every day .
concerned also with the reduced cycle time from 28 days to 25 days now could this be becuase of high protein in take ? kindly suggest
another question - is PCOS reversible ?
also with proper exercise will my cycle time go back to 28 days ? or is it age-related and nothing will change back to normal ?
PCOS may be wrong diagnosis
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I doubt your PCOS diagnosis. It could be wrong especially if previous scan was normal.
PCOS may not be there as even your cycles are regular. You need another ultrasound scan by different doctor to differentiate the same.
Infact your cycle duration has reduced which could be because of reduced eggs and not PCOS.
Send your ultrasound scan pictures.
Weight loss takes time to achieve. Continue same. Workout and diet.
Regards

No PCOS
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I saw the attached picture and reports of ultrasound scan.
You don't have pcos as I see from picture. You just have fibroadenoma in the breast which need to be removed surgically.
Let me know if you need any more help.

Thanks for your guidance so far. I have one more question wrt water retention in my body.... I tend to retain up to 3- 4 kgs water in my body weight fluctuates by 3- 4 kgs within days / weeks. what can be done to ensure that the water retention doesnt happen and also last time a doctor mentioned that my body tend to retain water in the muscles and prescribed Feliz S 5 mg once a day for 3 months. with the medication the weight came down by 6 kgs and also I started to feel very thirsty.
however the family doctor asked me to stop the medication as its an anti depressant and shouldn't be used for long term ..
kindly suggest what should be done for water retention n the weight fluctuation.
Water intake
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Water retention leading to weight fluctuations is generally due to improper dieting and exercise without good amount of water intake.
This can be solved by regular exercise and adequate water intake. Tablets don't solve this problem.
Let me know if you need any more clarification.
