Brief Answer:
Swab, C/S. oral and vaginal tablets. USG, endometrial cytology.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Dr. Purushottam welcomes you to HCM virtual clinic.
I have gone through your query.
I think I have understood your concern, I will try to suggest you the best possible treatment options.

1) First of all do not panic.

2)It is ok to get withdrawal bleeding once you are off the patch.
But if you have pain and vaginal discharge, getting culture sensitivity swabs and PAP smear will be helpful.
If you have these reports, it will help out to guide you further.

3) Please seek support of your treating doctor for vaginal antibacterial and antifungal tablets.
She might prescribe you oral antibacterial medicines if needed.

4) I would like to know , if you have done USG - sonography and endometrial cytology in the recent past?
Do you have any other medical issue like diabetes, hypertension etc.?
I hope my answer helps you.
Thanks.
Wish you good health.
With regards
Dr Purushottam Neurgaonkar

I dont know what USG - sonography and endometrial cytology is?

I have had no problems in this area belore. I am waiting for my second swab result to come back, and the smear. No diabetes or hypertension problems. I have been told to use Canesten for the thrush which I will start today. However does thrush cause tummy pain and discharge such as I am having?

Do you have any feedback from my question an hour ago?
I am still waiting for a reply?

I am still waiting for a reply on this. Additional to my symptoms i have just started getting a bit of spotting - like a dark jelly only on toilet paper when I urinate.

My bowels also are extremely erratic. One day normal, one day diarrhea then normal again with no reason. Can this be connected to the other problem.. the bowels have been up and down for a couple of years really.

Brief Answer:
Pre pro biotics and hemostatic agents.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,

if you have bowel related issue, use of pe pro biotics is suggested.
Please have regular meals that include half the portion of fruits, vegetables and salads.
Please try to avoid deep fried foods, bakery products and refined sugars.

For your spotting issue, use of hemostatic agents like mefenamic acid and tranexamic acid tablets will help. Please seek prescription support from your treating doctor.

Cytology reports are the swabs taken from cervix to study cells and their abnormality under microscope.
Swabs taken to detects nature of infection are to detect the bacteria or pathogens in the vaginal area.

I hope this answer helps you.
