Your AST levels is slightly elevated, however it doesn't put you on immediate risk and you shouldn't worry for the moment. High AST levels with normal ALT may be caused by:
- Alcohol abuse
- Hepatotoxic medications
- viral infection
This is why I strongly recommend to stop drinking alcohol and to repeat the test 6-8 weeks of abstinence. Moreover If you are taking any medication or herbal medicine you should stop taking it. Can you upload a list of medications you are taking?
