Question: I am a 67 year old man taking 40 mg of Simvastatin Daily. My AST was 57 & ASL 58 - Should I lower the dosage to 20mg & check results again in 3 mos. ?

Hi,
Thanks for query.
No mild to moderate derangement in level of liver enzyme has no significance.Minimum three times the upper normal levels should be there.
You can continue taking simvastatin.
Just repeat LFT after 1 month.
