CAN YOU SUGGEST WHAT I NEED TO DO FOR MY RESISTANT HYPERTENTENSION
Brief Answer:
Reasonable blood pressure.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr XXXXX,
I have gone through your question.
First of all, your medicines are fine.
Let me assure you that you need not label yourself as resistant hypertensive.
1.According to JNC8 guidelines, which were published recently, for someone over 60 years of age, 150(Systoloic) and 90(diastolic) are reasonable targets.
2. your mean arterial blood pressure is between 90-100, which is normal for your age.
If you can manage the BP in the same levels, there is no need to ask for a change of medication. even with good control, you need to restrict salt and have some exercise matching your age.
Hope i am clear. All the best.
