Question: Hi, iam 36 year old female. was on heavy antibiotics since last 2 months as I had nose, thoroat infections, chills fever and all. Recently diagnozed with typhoid as typhi.e was weak positive and widal was positive with titre 1:80. I had urine infection also. I stopped responding to medicines hence was admitted to hospital and took IV of Nocosef and Ofloxacin for 6 days morning and evening.
Now, suddenly I had pain in the lower abdomen 2 days back and went to take pain killer injection. another scan was done and then gynae cheked and said im having PID and cystitis.
I cant tolerate heavy medicines as im v weak now. Urine routine still shows infection with 20-40 pus cells, epithelial cells and some yeast.
im attaching report of abdomen ultra sound, my latest genital swab culture and prescription of today. What medicines can I take? is it serious? can it be cured with tablets or do i have to take injections?
im taking thyronorm 100mcg, duloit 30 for anxiety issues, glycomet 1000 for insulin resistence.
please help im very much worried.

Brief Answer:
Injection Amikacin advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
I have seen the attached prescription and reports.
In my opinion you need Amikacin injections for at least 10 days and one XXXXXXX of monurol stat.
Discuss this with your gynecologist and let me know what she has to say about this.
It will take care of both urinary infection and PID.
Take care

thanks doctor,
i got my urine culture report also and it shows sensitivity with Amikacin 16 and Nutrifurition 32. My gynae is not giving me injections but when I told her she said u shud not take it more than 5 days.she suggested me Martifur MR100 mg twice daily.
I went and took first injection but i immediately felt dizziness and shortness of breathe.
I had to take allegra and petril 0.5 mg.

Brief Answer:
Take martifur

Detailed Answer:
Thus shows that you are sensitive to Amikacin so nitrofurantoin (martifur) is the only option now.
And since the the infection is also sensitive to it so kind of good only.
Take martifur as advised and let's hope speedy recovery
