Question: hi my fiancé'a hcg subunit , qnt serum
Reads 4122 as result
(non -pregnant) 0- 5
( Promenstrual) 0- 8
(Pregnant). __________

What does that mean?

The levels of beta-hCG (human chorionic gonadotrophin) vary widely at different stages of pregnancy.

Level 4122 means that she is around 3-4weeks pregnant.

single measurement of Beta-HCG has not much value.doubling of it in two consecutive tests done 48hours apart indicates intrauterine pregnancy.

I mean to say is that you get beta HcG levels checked again after 48 hours.
If it gets doubled in 48 hours, it indicates intrauterine pregnancy.

If not, then it is suggestive of ectopic pregnancy or chances of miscarriage (if value decreases).
