Continue same treatment.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.
I have read your query and have gone through your son's reports attached here.
He is having dengue fever positive in his last report and other reports are almost normal.
Although, there is no specific treatment for dengue but you should continue with the same treatment like Augmentin syrup to prevent super infection with syrup crocin to reduce fever as directed by your doctor.
I am sure your doctors must have seen his dengue NS1 antigen positive report.
Generally, there is no need to get admitted in dengue fever unless there is major symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, high grade fever or low platelet counts (which is a common symptom/sign in dengue) develops.
Here, I would advise you to continue giving crocin 5ml three times and if fever does not subside then cold sponging would also be helpful to reduce fever.
Also, check his platelet counts (or go for CBC daily) almost daily in the morning time up to 5 to 7 days irrespective of his fever.
Your treating pediatrician will know about it and will guide you on your tomorrow's OPD visit.
Till the time, give him plenty of fluids (as much as he can) with fruit juices to maintain electrolyte balance and give soft diet initially.
Otherwise there is nothing to be worried much as dengue fever can be managed very easily with appropriate medications and proper care.
Hope this will help you.
Regards,
Dr.Sandip Kabra
