What Do These Blood Reports Indicate?
No significant abnormality
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.
Sorry for the delay in replying as we are in two different time zones.
Your results are good and are mostly normal. There is no indication of any serious illness.
Your total blood proteins consisting of albumin and globulin is flagged as high but when you look at each individually, they are in the normal range and the ratio between the two which is important is normal. So there is no significance for the flagged result.
Your MCH i.e. the amount of hemoglobin in the red blood cell is mildly reduced. This may mean mild iron deficiency. Your hemoglobin , the red cell size are normal and hence the MCH should not worry you.
Eosinphils are cells indicative of your body's response to allergens. If it is high, it means you are responding to allergens. Low eosinophil count has no significance. Are you taking any medicines? If you take steroids, your eosininophil count will be low.
So in conclusion, the blood tests do not indicate any significant illness.
There is no indication of any infection or bleeding which can occur in diverticulosis.
Extra tests as the present are normal
Detailed Answer:
Since the available tests did not point to the reason of the pain, they want to do more tests.
If you like to have my opinion on the cause of pain, please let me have all the details like where is the pain, when did it start, is it continuous or comes and goes, what increases the pain and what brings relief etc.
Welcome
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your input. The total protein is elevated because of the globulins. The antibodies produced in response to the infections are probably the cause for the elevation. So it is unlikely to be a cause for concern. Let's wait for the confirmation from protein electrophoresis.

Rest during acute phase and prevent constipation to reduce recurrence.
Detailed Answer:
When you have diverticulitis, you require to take antibiotics and food that gives rest to the colon ( low residue diet). These include clear soups, apple and other juices without puls, canned or cooked fruits without skin, potatoes without skin, rice, pasta, noodles, yogurt, cheese , fish and eggs which are low in residue.
After the acute episode settles, it is important to prevent constipation to prevent recurrence. For this one has to drink plenty of fluids, eat a high fiber diet, exercise at least 30 minutes a day and live healthy.
