Glycomet GP 3/850
Brief Answer:
possible complications
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your response.
As per this information, the sugars were better 3 months back.
Now they seem to have gone higher.
I am assuming that the diet, exercise schedule and the medicines have been the same during the period and before 3 months.
Now there are 2 possibilities-
1. there is a possibility that you are developing hypoglycemia- low sugars-which are characterized by sweating, palpitations, etc unless a person is sleeping. In such a case, the medicine needs to be reduced.
For this, you need to know whether such symptoms are happening, and check sugars at 3 am in the morning.
I also suggest testing Creatinine.
This possibility arises because the medicine that you are taking has a GP component that can cause hypoglycemia.
2. the sugars may have deteriorated over the past 3 months whereby the levels are more now. This is usually less possible- a rapid deterioration in 3 months- but is possible. You need to test HbA1C for this.
Please let me know the above symptoms and reports for further suggestion.
Best of luck, Dr Mittal
