default
Posted on Thu, 27 Aug 2015
Question: Hi Doctor,
I recently underwent a full blood test + ECG. I would like to have the report analysed by you. Could you please check and provide suggestions/feedback on the same.

Brief Medical History,
For the past 8 months, I have been on rehab following an episode of back pain. The symptoms ranged from stiff legs, shotting pain initially to numbness/tingling in legs in the middle to very mild nerve irritation and tiring legs presently. Until last week, i was on pregablin once a day for about 6 weeks ( dose ended couple of days before i did this health check up )

Brief Answer:
Abnormal blood sugar.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

I have gone through your medical reports.
Reports mention high blood sugar and elevated glycosylated hemoglobin(HBA1C) levels. You need to repeat fasting blood sugar in order to confirm whether you are having Diabetes.

TSH is mildly elevated. You should be on low dose Thyroxine hormone(Thyronorm or Eltroxin).Repeat Thyroid function tests should be done after 3 months.

Another thing is 'mild dyslipidemia' as suggested by LDL and HDL levels. RBC count is slightly elevated which should be repeated once more,to confirm the same.

However,
Any of the above results(except high blood sugar) are possible not contributing to your symptoms.
I would suggest you to get yourself physically examined by a neurologist.Investigations like MRI Lumbosacral spine and Nerve conduction studies may be needed, depending on the physical examination.

Meanwhile,continue the same treatment.

If you have any further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.

Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
MD,DM(Neurology)
