What Do These Creatinine And ALT Levels Indicate?
decrease alcohol intake, control other risk factors
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Creatinine levels take a look at the kidneys. Normally used along with urea/BUN, GFR, urine tests to assess kidney function.
Your value is slightly above the normal range.
Kidney function can decrease with age. High blood pressure, diabetes, smoking can affect kidney function and cause it to worsen.
Controlling any of these issues, if any are present, would prevent worsening.
Decreasing alcohol use may help to improve the GGT and ALT. This can take 6 weeks to 3 months if it occurs.
In some cases, it can take up to 6 months for this to occur.
Even if there is not a significant decrease in these values, decrease alcohol use would prevent any rise and decline in liver function.
You can decrease alcohol intake and recheck these levels in 3 months to see if there is any change
Summary: (a) decreasing risk factors such as smoking, high blood pressure, diabetes, if any present would help to prevent any changes in kidney function
(b)decreasing alcohol intake would help with the GGT and ALT
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
